Atmosphere, we breath in is not just a mixture of gases. There are solid particles and liquid droplets present in the air. This mixture of solid particle and/or liquid droplets in air is termed as aerosol. From fine dust to viruses, this non-gaseous component of the atmosphere is vital considering human health and other important phenomena related to climate physics and chemistry. For these reasons their quantification and measurement are essential. In this talk an introduction to Aerosols will be presented and methods to measure their concentration will be discussed.
Dr. Mirza Hussain Raza Qasim is an electrical engineer. He is currently working as a Post-Doc researcher at Hanyang University South Korea in the field of aerosol detection, measurements, and their interaction with ionizing radiations
He obtained his PhD from Hanyang university South Korea in the area of aerosol interaction with radiations. He is permanent faculty member in Department of Electrical Engineering & Technology at G.C. University Faisalabad.
